Growing demand drives expansion of warehouse facilities

Maprotec has expanded its heated warehouse capacity after converting a previously unheated building into a warm storage facility. The new premises have been in use for a couple of months, providing shelving capacity for a total of 280 pallet spaces.

The additional space has been needed, as production is currently running at a high pace and goods are moving in large volumes across all customer segments, says Maprotec’s CEO and Production Manager Asko Salminen. Last year was also a year of growth for Maprotec, with revenue increasing by just under five percent.

“Operations have developed steadily, and the outlook for the future remains positive, meaning there is plenty of work ahead. Going forward, growth would be particularly supported by bringing more skilled professionals into production,” Salminen notes.

Additional resources would bring greater flexibility to production, especially in certain stages of the process.

“For example, having more experienced professionals in milling and turning would allow us to respond even better to growing demand and support continued growth,” Salminen adds.
